The Allegheny Mountain Licensed Masters Swimming Committee (AM LMSC) invites all registered USMS swimmers to participate in a 5k pool swim on Saturday, August 2nd from 8-10:00 am in the North Park Pool, a long course 50 meter pool located north of Pittsburgh in Allison Park, PA. You can use this as a chance to get in a longer swim, push yourself to reach the 5k distance, or try to achieve a certain time for national championship consideration!
There will be coffee and doughnuts provided for light refreshment!
Swimmers have 4 options:
Swimming for USMS National Consideration and doing a straight 5k
Not doing it for USMS rankings but swim straight through
A broken 5K workout (100s, 200s)
friends, fun, and fitness!
If you are registering for national consideration please do bring a person to count laps and a person to time. We will do our best to supply people to count but bring your own to be sure! Also be sure to register (additional $12 to club assistant).
Please send the $15 registration fee via Paypal to: @AMLMSC or our direct link: PayPal.Me/AMLMSC. All swimmers will receive a swim cap with a designated color, based on the group you are swimming with!
Additionally, we are in need of two pace clocks for the event. If anyone that is registering has a pace clock they could donate for use at the event that would be greatly appreciated. You can reach out to my email if you are interested in helping us there!
